What Diane Kruger Wore To A Summery Barbecue

We're still recovering from the hotdog hangover brought about by all the long-weekend barbecues we attended. Memorial Day gave us a glimpse of what sunny get-togethers will look like over the next couple of months — and the stars, too, took advantage of the extra day of rest to get festive. Fresh off the plane from Cannes, Diane Kruger attended some pre-summer gatherings in Malibu. And, unsurprisingly, the actress dealt with jet lag quite fabulously. 

With one fell swoop — or, rather, one coordinated set — Kruger simultaneously blew our own (carefully planned) Memorial Day outfits out of the water and offered some valuable inspiration for the barbecues to come. For a weekend cookout, the actress opted for a lighter iteration of the denim-on-denim look with a chambray set from 3x1 consisting of a sleeveless crop top and culottes. Nude, leather sandals with a wooden, block heel added height and sophistication, while a worn-in straw fedora gave off a laid-back vibe. 

Matching sets are an unlikely trend that has caught on, refused to let go, and will get you through countless spontaneous parties in the next months. All you need to do is copy Kruger's effortless, long-weekend look, and you'll be good to go.
