CVS Is Now Selling This Couples Vibrator

Out with the cigarettes, in with the vibrators. This month, CVS stores nationwide are beginning to sell a higher-quality sex product than they ever have before: We-Vibe's Fling couples vibrator. While it's not the first time that the pharmacy chain has offered pleasure products — it has stocked battery-charged massagers from brands primarily known for their condoms, such as Durex and Trojan, before — the Fling is the first toy created by a vibrator company to hit CVS shelves, We-Vibe reports. And, it packs a powerful punch. The silicone, USB-rechargeable toy provides nine vibration modes, and at $79.99, it's more affordable than the most recent version of the company's eponymous couples vibe, the $179 We-Vibe-4-Plus.

The partnership between CVS and We-Vibe is a sign of a growing recognition that safety and pleasure in sex go side by side. Over six thousand CVS stores now stock the sex toy alongside the usual condoms and lube, in aisles increasingly categorized as "sexual health" rather than the more prudish "family planning." (Sometimes, all we're "planning" for is Saturday night.) So, the next time you're picking up gummy bears and nail files, check to see if the CVS you're in is one of the fun ones.
