I am a passionate Fangirl of many fandoms: Star Wars, Marvel (especially Loki), Doctor Who, Sherlock, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Disney, DC Comics, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, The Legend of Korra, Avatar: the Last Airbender, and many more.

Because I have been a very passionate Fangirl my whole life, and I’ve had the pleasure of expanding my passions every day. My very first crush, when I was 10 years old, was Luke Skywalker, and he still holds a special place in my heart. The Ultimate Guide To L.A. Hair Salons

What makes for a great salon in L.A.? For some, it's all about having a renowned stylist sailing the ship. Others may judge a salon by how well their lowest-level stylist trims hair. And, for a lot of people around here, it all boils down to who does the best blonde highlights.

But, regardless of whether you care more about a chill, anything-but-stressful ambience or a price tag that won't break the bank, we believe all great salons have one thing in common: You leave feeling really, really good about your hair. Sure, it may sound simple. But, in our experience, only an elite group of salons can be relied upon to provide that every time. We searched near and far, and narrowed it down to 10 spots that never disappoint. So, check them out ahead, and then make an appointment ASAP. And, if you have a local favorite that didn't make the list, let us know in the comments — we're always looking for an excuse to get our hair done.

Benjamin With Negin Zand
Formerly known as Salon Benjamin, Benjamin Mohapi's Melrose salon recently got a name change, thanks to renowned colorist Negin Zand coming aboard. The impeccably designed space might be one of the coolest salons we've ever been to. It's tastefully stylish without that old-school, uptight salon mentality. You'll leave with a look you really love, whether or not you decide to go dramatic.

Cost: Haircuts start at $135; highlights start at $210.
Notable Clients: Jaime King, Megan Fox, and many more.
Products Available: A wide range of offerings, including shampoo by Davines and nail polish by Tenoverten.

Benjamin With Negin Zand, 8910 Melrose Avenue (near North Almont Drive); 424-249-3296.

Spoke & Weal
Stylist Jon Reyman and colorist Christine Thompson teamed up to open their L.A. outpost (they also have a location in S.F.), and we couldn't be happier. Since both have worked with a number of incredible designers, the salon is geared more towards high-fashion looks than celebrity trends. If you want something a little edgy but not too crazy, this is your spot.

Cost: Cuts start at $55; highlights start at $150.
Products Available: Tons of Aveda.

Spoke & Weal, 8211 West 3rd Street (near South La Jolla Avenue); 323-591-0979.

Hairroin Salon
Boasting outposts in New York and L.A., Hairroin (tagline: "Addicted to style") is youthful, edgy, and badass. This is the place to go if you want to dye your hair a neon color or shave off the side, or try something equally punky but trendy. In other words, Hairroin is where Jem and the rest of the Holograms would get their hair did.

Cost: Haircuts start at $70; color treatments start at $100.
Notable Clients: Ariana Grande, Zooey Deschanel, Scarlett Johansson.
Products Available: R+Co, Davines.

Hairroin Salon, 1520 North Cahuenga Boulevard (near Sunset Boulevard); 323-467-0392.

Cie Sparks
Malibu's not necessarily known for its incredible salons — well, until now, that is. Having just opened in October 2014, Cie Sparks may be one of the newest on the list, but it didn't take long for us to trust 'em. Power duo Michael Sparks and Heather Cie have compiled a stellar team for a salon that combines Hollywood glam with the laid-back California lifestyle.

Cost: Cuts start at $150; highlights start at $200.
Notable Clients: The salon's still brand-new, but Cie and Sparks have worked with everyone from Kate Beckinsale to Gillian Jacobs to Lena Dunham.

Cie Sparks, 3835 Cross Creek Road (near Pacific Coast Highway); 310-456-2300.

Shin
One of the few renowned salons in Santa Monica, Shin opened a little over two years ago — which is surprising, considering all of its diehard devotees. That said, if you go for Shin An's famous dry cut, you'll totally understand why.

Cost: Haircuts with Shin start at $250; cuts with other stylists start at $125.
Products Available: Philip B., plus a few in-house lines worth testing out.

Shin, 1025 Montana Avenue (near 11th Street); 310-310-3128.

Andy LeCompte Salon
If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? LeCompte and his wildly talented team do a killer job with hair across the board. Plus, they're considerably faster at their craft than many of their top competitors.

Cost: Cuts start at $200; color service starts at $125.
Notable Clients: Everyone from Madonna to Nicole Richie.

Andy LeCompte Salon, 616 North Almont Drive (near Melrose Avenue); 310-273-4100.

Nine Zero One
We'll get straight to the point: If you're blonde, dying to go blonde, or even just considering a hint of highlights, this is your new favorite spot.

Cost: Prices vary by stylist but can be viewed on staff bio pages, here.
Notable Clients: The list is endless, but just to give you a taste, Emma Roberts, Heidi Klum, and Miley Cyrus are among them.
Products Available: L’Oréal Professionnel.

Nine Zero One, 8469 Melrose Place (near North Alfred Street); 310-855-9099.

Kimble Hair Studio
If you're at all interested in hair, you're definitely familiar with Kim Kimble. The celebrity hair guru's list of famous clientele may be the most impressive in the biz. Aside from her frequent past appearances on Oprah, she also has her own show, L.A. Hair, on WE tv. Our personal recommendation: If your locks are the least bit dry or damaged, make an appointment for one of their signature conditioning treatments. Your tresses will thank you.

Cost: Prices available upon request.
Notable Clients: Beyoncé, Kerry Washington, Halle Berry, and many more.
Products Available: A wide range — plus their in-house line, Kimble Beauty.

Kimble Hair Studio, 8280 Santa Monica Boulevard (at North Sweetzer Avenue); 323-650-2222.

Ramirez | Tran
Fact: This is far from the first time we've written about Ramirez | Tran. Hell, we've ogled their Instagram. And, we stand by our praise of the relatively new salon. You can expect to leave happier than ever after a cut and color service. That said, we admit it's not the most affordable spot — but, if you go anyway, reserve a decent chunk of your day if you're getting color!

Cost: Haircuts with Tran cost $300. For Ramirez, base color starts at $150, and highlights start at $350. Appointments with the other super-talented stylists and colorists are much more affordable.
Notable Clients: Miranda Kerr, Harley Viera-Newton, and Aubrey Plaza.
Products Available: We spotted a ton of Oribe.

Ramirez | Tran, 8912 West Olympic Boulevard (near South La Peer Drive); 310-724-8167.

Harper Salon
Harper Salon just opened in December 2014 — and it's already generating a ton of buzz. Founded by the former owners of Steam salon, the new spot aims to cut hair for every type of L.A. woman — from Hollywood litigators to Hollywood stars. The one thing that all cuts will have in common: a little edge. The space itself boasts a cool, industrial, dragon-tattoo vibe, and the decor is a minimalist dream. If you're looking for a quick chop that won't cost you an arm and a leg, the Melrose salon has you covered.

Cost: Haircuts start at $125; color services start at $100.
Notable Clients: They just opened, but we expect there will be some very soon as word gets around.
Products Available: R+Co., Oribe, and the owner's own all-natural line of hair creams.

Harper Salon, 8259 Melrose Avenue (at North Harper Avenue); 323-931-0066.

Capella Salon
Valley denizens, this one's for you. The Studio City salon is run by seasoned vet Shai Amiel, who calls himself the "curl doctor." He specializes in the Deva Cut, a dry-cutting technique just for curly-haired gals. Translation: Hightail it here if you want the prettiest, bounciest curls of your life. But, even if you have pin-straight locks, you can take advantage of the salon's other services, including standard haircuts, color, highlights, extensions, braids, and more.

Cost: Haircuts start at $75; Deva Cut starts at $125; color service starts at $80.
Products Available: Kérastase, Deva Curl, and Moroccan Oil.

Capella Salon, 12930 Ventura Boulevard (near Coldwater Canyon Boulevard); 818-784-4247.

Mêche Salon
A favorite of celebs, this Beverly Hill salon is bolstered by one of the biggest names in hair color, Tracey Cunningham. Lily Aldridge, Jennifer Lopez, Drew Barrymore, Charlize Theron, and tons of other stars have Cunningham to thank for their locks — and, you can, too (if you're lucky enough to score an appointment with her). Even if you're not in the market for a new hue, the rest of the team at this stylishly sleek spot is equally adept at haircuts, keratin treatments, extensions, manicures and pedicures, brow shaping, makeup application, and more.

Cost: Haircuts start at $175; color service starts at $125.
Notable Clients: Emily Blunt, Lea Michele, and Minka Kelly.

Mêche Salon, 8820 Burton Way (near South Robertson Boulevard); 310-278-8930.

What Would Happen If The Sun Never Set?

Which Hollywood Icon Are You?

The Ultimate Guide To Summer Concerts In L.A. (& Whom To Bring)

How To Wear EVERY Type Of Crop Top This Summer

It's that time of year when our outfits are getting a bit airer and a bit more skin-showy. But, our pants aren't the only articles of clothing receiving the short treatment. Everywhere we look, tops are getting trimmed and chopped in all sorts of ways — from the sexy, bustier cuts to the boxy, slouchy silhouettes. Yes, 'tis the season for the belly-hemmed shirt: the crop top. And, while this is a bona fide fashion-girl trend we adore conceptually from afar, these tops can pose sartorial challenges when they actually get onto our bodies. Like, what exactly do you do with the navel area? Is there a secret formula to revealing just the right amount of belly? Can a crop top work for the office?

Fear not, dear readers. We hear your woes and have solutions for those tummy-baring fears. Ahead, we've rounded up the six types of crop tops you need to know about (there's something for everyone) and got the scoop from three of R29's favorite stylists — Jessie Tate, Haley Loewenthal, and our very own Styling Director, Emily Holland — on the best ways to rock them for your body. Read on, take notes, and get cropping. Let's start from the top.

The Crop Tank
"This style was the all-time classic [when I was] a tween growing up in the '90s," says Jessie Tate of the silhouette that most girls associate with the reign of Britney Spears. Thankfully, the go-to pop-starlet ensemble of the short crop tank and super-low-rise bootcut are a thing of the past. The crop tanks of today actually work for all shapes and sizes, but be mindful of what goes on the bottom. "The trick is to NEVER show more than a two-finger gap from your waistband to the base of your crop top," emphasizes Tate. "Remember: Less is more. Belly buttons are cute, but save it for the beach."

"This crop looks great with a flippy, mid-length skirt and a pair of sneakers or sandals to bring it to night," says Loewenthal. "It's really flattering when worked with a longer, pleated skirt with a black leather jacket layered over it. Don't be afraid to play around — crops are for all sizes and shapes."

"Try layering this kind of crop underneath a pair of overalls. I love the hint of skin on the side," says Tate. "It's super-fresh and fun for summer with a pair of simple Converse or Adidas."

"Something more form-fitting, like a tighter crop top, will look nice with a full skirt," says Holland. "It’s all about proportion. If you’re gonna show a lot on the top, be a little more conservative on the bottom with a baggier, slouchier silhouette. You can still look dressed up for a garden party or going out in the evening."

"If you want your legs to look a little longer, pair a crop top with a full skirt that's high-waisted, and you will keep people guessing when those pins begin and end," advises Tate.

The Crisscross Crop
Probably the trickiest silhouette has to be the crisscross top that exposes a triangle of flesh smack in the middle. "This style is really nice on a longer torso," says Loewenthal. "This top is also great if you want to accentuate your chest or even create the illusion that you have a little more than you do," adds Tate. And, given its high, angular cuts, the crisscross is a bolder style, so what's most important is to don this with utter fearlessness and confidence.

"If something’s tighter on top, it’s nice to wear something looser on the bottom, like a wide-legged pant or culotte," says Holland. "Something that covers the belly button!"

"A tighter fit to accentuate your body is flattering, especially since this one has a higher neckline. Don’t wear something too oversized to avoid looking frumpy," adds Holland.

"The crossover detail brings your attention up, so keep it simple on the bottom, because it's all about the top. That cute little peekaboo of tummy will definitely draw attention," says Tate.

"This style is great for a date or an event. But, remember to keep the bottom SIMPLE with a circle skirt or a great, high-waisted palazzo pant," adds Tate.

The Button-Up Crop
We already know how essential the button-up shirt is — and, a cropped version of the everyday office shirt should also find a place in your closet. "This style works best for the ladies with a smaller chest, but it's fun to experiment," says Loewenthal. "If you have a short torso or long legs, have fun with layering tonally — for example, layer your crop top over another tee that's slightly longer than your hips, and it automatically creates balance," adds Tate.

"You could get away with showing a bit more tummy if you're wearing a looser crop top like the button-up," says Holland.

"You can wear the button-up crop opened, styled with another top layered underneath, [so that it's] worn more like a jacket," says Loewenthal.

"This crop-top style is also great for work," adds Loewenthal. "Pair this with a high-waisted trouser and a fun heel to make the look a bit more feminine, and you're all set."

"A beautiful way to accentuate the waist and show off your tush is to pair the button-up crop with a fitted pencil skirt. Love your curves! Have fun and play with pattern and color on the bottom," says Tate. "Alternatively, you can pair this with a cropped, wide-leg boyfriend pant with no more than two inches of ankle showing."

The Long-Sleeve Crop
If you need to take baby steps into the world of crop tops, the long-sleeve and sweater crop are the perfect styles to get you acquainted. "This is actually my fave, considering I'm always in a high-waisted pant. It's the perfect way for me to keep warm but not add bulk to my hips," says Tate of the long-sleeve's functionality for layering. "This shape is the most versatile and universal to wear, and it works well, from anyone with a petite frame to a woman with curves," adds Loewenthal. "Depending on the shape you get, you can style this a million awesome ways."

"My personal favorite way to wear this shape is in a tighter fit, and pair it with a high-waisted, denim button-down miniskirt and loafers for an overall cool-girl look," says Loewenthal.

"This works great with a high-waisted pant on a short torso," says Holland.

"Layer this over a longer top and play with what peeks out from under the sweater hem," says Tate. "Have fun with peplums or contrasting fabric textures. Even a clean, white tee sticking out breathes fresh to me."

"Or, alternatively, go bare and wear nothing underneath! The little peek of skin is sexy enough!" continues Tate.

The Longline Crop
At first glance, the longline crop top — which also could be known as the bustier — can appear to be super-intimidating since there isn't really much fabric going on. But, it's a lot more versatile than you think. "When you have a crop that is a bit cut in and strappy, it's about accentuating your shoulders and arms — it's flattering," says Holland. And, so much about this particular style is about the complete ensemble. "This piece is cool for any body type, depending on how you style it," adds Loewenthal, who emphasizes that it is an easy piece to dress up or dress down depending on your mood.

"This is a fun crop to try underneath an overall for a cool weekend look, especially if you're a little less open to wearing a cropped style," suggests Loewenthal. "It's a fun way to ease yourself into it."

"Another fun way to wear the longline is by layering it over a simple button-up shirt for a corset-style look," Loewenthal adds.

"Since a longline is sleeveless and has a lower neck, this is the moment to accessorize," says Tate. "If you love to wear a necklace or two, this is your time to do so. It's the perfect top to really show off your favorite pieces."

"This top is super-cute paired with a high-waisted, A-line skirt and jean jacket for daywear. To bring this style into something more formal, it can be worn with a longer pencil skirt," says Loewenthal. "Bonus points if you can find a matching set! It makes for a really fun going-out outfit."

The T-Shirt Crop
Finally, we get to the most classic top of all, the beloved T-shirt crop. It's a go-to shape that can serve an array of body types in flattering ways. "The crop T is the most versatile of the bunch," says Tate. "It's a fantastic layering basic, and suits ALL shapes." And, while it might seem unlikely, the T-shirt crop top is actually a solid piece for the curvier gal. "Buy a slightly larger size than you would normally," continues Tate. "This should have movement, and the hem should sit away from the body and not be fitted."

"Since the shape is generally boxy for casual wear, it's nice to pair this with a dark, skinny denim and flats. If you want to try this style for a more dressed-up, formal look, it's actually fun to go the opposite of what makes sense and do a volume-on-volume style, pairing it with an oversized, wide-leg pant," says Loewenthal.

"The crop tee is especially great for the girl who has a slightly bigger bust," says Tate. "The ratio of sleeve to body is the perfect balance, and allows your waist to appear slimmer."

"Layering a crop top over a longer, white button-up is a nice way to wear it to work, with the extra layer coming out from the bottom. It looks professional and is a little more interesting than your normal button-down," says Holland. "Or, you could also wear it solo with a long vest over it to keep yourself more covered up and elevated."

"The bell-bottom and '70s look is back, so I'd wear the crop T-shirt with a baggier jean," says Holland. "The width on the bottom with the loose top will look nice."

Your June Horoscope, Revealed

Summon those soul twins! This June is Gemini time, with the sun and high-octane Mars traveling side-by-side like Castor and Pollux until the 21st. This would be an awesome time to form a dynamic duo, but for one hitch. Mercury is in a signal-scrambling retrograde until the 11th. Try to hold off on sealing any deals until then. If you must formalize an agreement, peruse the fine print with a microscope. Or, hey, maybe you have a summer wedding planned. Stay flexible and be ready to improvise in case the schedule gets thrown off or the microphone stops working during your speech. With the sun moving into Cancer on the 21st — the summer solstice — we’ll all crave cozy time with our nearest and dearest. Bring on the family reunions!

Gemini
Celebrate good times, come on! With the sun and sexy Mars rolling together through Gemini until the 21st, you are in your social butterfly element. Stay true to your gypsy soul. Flutter from scene to scene without staying in any one place for too long. You’ll discover what lights you up that way — and surprise! It’s beyond what you previously imagined. Develop the independent interests that already have you hooked, too. You could make major headway on a solo project. Promote to the public with your new moon in Gemini on the 16th. Plus, Mercury is retrograde until the 11th, which could scramble signals early in the month. On the 2nd, the full moon helps you lock down long-term partnerships. A hotly anticipated contract could finally come in. Signing is never ideal during Mercury retrograde, but if you must put down some ink before the 11th, have a lawyer review the fine print. Want to add an exclusivity clause to a romantic relationship? Stop playing coy, Gemini, or a potential soulmate could be permanently shuffled into the “missed connections” category. With Venus moving through your flirty third house from the 5th on, single Geminis will not be bereft of options. Tinder awaits your right-swipes, but strike up IRL conversations, too. With a cosmic lineup like June’s, the subway platform could be the setting for true romance. Don’t drift too far from your desk or the gym; structure junkie Saturn retreats into your work and health zone from June 14 to September 17. Your diligence pays off at work, but you may have a few more dues to pay. Upgrade your medical care. If you need any treatments or surgery, work only with the best.

Cancer
If it’s done and dusted, Cancer, then please let it go. You’re a sentimental soul, but with the motivating sun and Mars both in your 12th house of healing and transitions until the 21st, nothing good can come from grasping onto the past. It’s fine to be emotional; in fact, you might want to turn the process into a release ritual. Light candles, play music, and thank each object before you pack it off for an eBay shipment or Goodwill drop-off. If you have a safe place to light a fire, there might be a few things to burn ceremonially, too, like a letter to a frenemy or your ex’s Flaming Lips tee. As you say farewell to the past, you’re clearing a space for better options to flow in. What’s next? That is the question. A powerful mentor could appear with the new moon on the 16th. Your birthday time begins on June 21 when the sun heads into Cancer for four weeks. Hello, total life refresh. It will be far easier to move on then — and even more so when go-getter Mars moves into Cancer from June 24 to August 8. The red planet only visits your sign every other year, so you don’t want to miss this high-octane blast. Focus on your solo missions instead of taking care of everyone around you. Your crew might not be ready to go on this ride. But, if you fearlessly pave the way, they’ll hop on your mothership in due time. Are your fingers a little sore from right swiping? With stable Saturn retreating through your romance house from June 14 to September 17, curate more cautiously. Hold out for someone who could actually fit with the future you have planned for yourself.

Leo
Rather than ascending as the solo queen, your strategy for success should be all about teamwork this June. Let go of a little control and…surprise! Other people’s ideas will be music to your ears. With Mercury retrograde until the 11th, consider recruiting some old reliables from your past for a collab. But, don’t just gravitate to those familiar faces out of habit. New and fascinating people are everywhere you turn this month. Get out and explore some untapped scenes. The new moon on the 16th could connect you to your soul tribe. This is also a good time to update your online presence. Pose for a photo shoot, record videos for your YouTube channel, or revamp your OkCupid profile. The second half of June could bring some profitable ideas for an app or online venture. Is Cupid in the house? Yep. June’s romantic forecast is so bright, it’s blinding. Love planet Venus will tour Leo from June 5 until July 18, making you ultramagnetic. Don’t rush to give away a final rose, though. With all the attention that comes when you host Venus, you’ll have plenty of options to explore. The full moon on the 2nd will also amp up your mojo — and could bring a new love, engagement, or even a pregnancy. Coupled Leos will require a longer leash. Just know where to draw the line, so you don’t make a mistake that can’t be undone. Home and family could feel a bit heavy as Saturn trudges through your domestic sector from June 14 to September 17. A relative may need extra support, but careful not to exhaust yourself trying to be the hero.

Virgo
Power lunch at the rooftop bistro? Deal-signing over champagne? You’re killing it in the career department this June, as the sun and motivator Mars team up in your ambitious 10th house. But, your World Domination Tour won’t happen if you’re sitting around in cutoffs watching Netflix. Fortune favors the bold, Virgo. It’s up to you to take the initiative with your professional ascent. With Mercury retrograde until the 11th, reach out to successful people from your past. They may be willing to give you a tug up the ladder. Don’t know anyone in that category? Be proactive and go trade business cards at industry events. Volunteering, apprentice-style, is a great way to get your espadrille in the door and get an insider’s view of how the pros do it. A promotion or job offer could come with the new moon on the 16th, along with a helpful mentor. In love, you’ll rock the rose-colored glasses thanks to Venus touring your 12th house of fantasy from June 5 on. While it’s fun to be THAT excited about someone (and rare for a Virgo), don’t screen out the trouble spots. Everyone has a past, but make sure that drama doesn’t bleed into your future. Some Virgos may be in “breakover” mode, recovering from a split and slowly preparing to move on. If you’re in a relationship, brace yourself, as there could be some heavy issues to parse through. Rigid Saturn slips back into your friendship sector from June 14 to September 17. Create healthier boundaries with BFFs, siblings, and roommates to avoid meltdowns. You may also be on the hunt for more mature friends who can roll with your current set of interests.

Libra
Set your preferences to “free range” this June. With the sun and fearless Mars conjoined in your globetrotting ninth house until the 21st, the world is absolutely your oyster. Invest in a backpack: From music festivals to cross-continental couch-surfing, you’re happy to travel gypsy-style for a change. A word to the wise: Try to leave AFTER the 11th, since Mercury will be retrograde until then. Already booked beforehand? Triple-confirm your reservations to avoid a Mercury mixup when you arrive. The new moon on the 16th could bring a long-distance opportunity — one that might just have you checking out apartments in a foreign postal code. Looking for a road dog to accompany you on your journeys? The full moon on the 2nd shines a light on a kindred spirit whose thirst for new experiences can match your own. In love, you’ll feel more buoyant from the 5th on as if nothing can really bring you down. That levity makes you quite irresistible, so enjoy the bountiful attention that comes your way. A casual hangout with friends could lead to a love connection. You’ll have a high “click-through rate” with digital dating in June, too. Keep a tight reign on your spending, though. Stern Saturn retreats into Scorpio and your money zone from June 14 to September 17. You’ve learned some golden (and sometimes harsh) lessons about finances over the past couple years, but there is still farther to go. Budget carefully and put a savvier savings plan in place, so you’re covered when the bills come in.

Scorpio
Hello, you sexy thing. You’re in your Scorpionic element this June as the sun and passionate Mars unite in your erotic eighth house until the 21st. While you’ll attract more than your fair share of admirers, you can’t be bothered with people who dwell in the shallow end of the pool. Depth, intensity, and intelligent humor are what you crave. Don’t settle for less! You could meet someone who fits the criteria near the new moon on the 16th. Keep your guard up until the 11th while Mercury is retrograde, though: A toxic ex could slip back into your life. Don’t even kid yourself, Scorpio, thinking that you can “work on a friendship.” The obsession can kick right back into gear as if no time has passed. When a message comes in, hit delete instead of reply and spare yourself the pain. Charming Venus is in your career house from the 5th on, making socializing essential to your success. Send a thank-you card after a great meeting. Taskmaster Saturn retreats into Scorpio from June 14 to September 17, putting you through a three-month strength test. You housed the cosmic disciplinarian in your sign from October 6, 2012 until December 23, 2014. During that time, your life went through some major changes. Challenges forced you to upgrade and quite possibly shifted the entire landscape of your life. But, you are much stronger now; there are just a few finishing touches to put on Scorpio 2.0. As annoying as it may be to have to pay those dues, don’t quit five minutes before the miracle. Stay focused! Saturn won’t return to your sign until 2031, so you’re laying a solid foundation for the next 28 years.

Sagittarius
Ask, believe, and receive. June begins on a bold, bright note with a full moon in Sagittarius on the 2nd. A wish could manifest beautifully, setting you off on a brand new path. Your individuality will be spotlighted, too. Like Archers Janelle Monae and Miley, let your authentic self shine and watch your fan base grow. There will be plenty of opportunity to partner up, too, especially since the sun and go-getter Mars are linked up in your relationship house until June 21. Romantically, your preferences could run the gamut, since Venus will be in your global ninth house in June. Keep your ears perked for sexy accents and make a point of checking out the cuties from cultures different than your own. In a relationship? Traveling with your honey can bring back the sparks. Just wait until Mercury retrograde ends on the 11th to take this voyage. Speaking of Mercury retro, your “open mouth, insert espadrille” issue could really rage out of control in the first third of June. Watch where you swing that truth hammer, or you could crush the wrong person’s ego and wind up with bad blood. Sexytime intensifies on the 21st, when the sun slinks into your erotic eighth house for a month. Your arrows will all point at one special target and, for a change, you’re playing for keeps. This solar-powered spell, which lasts until July 22, can also bring money from a property sale, commission check, or other non-traditional (read: anything but the 9-to-5) income source. Clean house while Saturn retreats from your sign and back into Scorpio from June 14 to September 17. There’s one last round of decluttering and healing to do, which could make for a more soulful, serene summer than you expected to have.

Capricorn
Green is your new black this June — as in kale smoothies, a lowered carbon footprint, and fat stacks of cash. With planets moving through your sixth house of healthy habits, get life running like a well-oiled machine. This may require some clean-up. Check out Japanese efficiency wizard Marie Kondo’s The Life Changing Magic Of Tidying Up (tidyingup.com) for a no-fail system for whipping your home and office into order. Give your body some love, too. With Mercury retrograde until the 11th, you could slip into some bad habits — like forgetting that margaritas are not a food group and that Cool Ranch is not an herb. As soon as you catch yourself, replace these indulgences with fresh, whole foods that actually energize your body. The new moon on the 16th could bring word of a job offer. If you need to upgrade your health insurance or find a doctor you actually like, this new moon is optimal. Consider it all preventative medicine, Capricorn. Your ruling planet, Saturn, heads back into your 11th house of teamwork from June 14 to September 17, reminding you that you’re judged by the company that you keep. Shake up your social network to make sure there’s a proper balance of way-showers and people who remind you to let loose and enjoy yourself. A collaborative project — possibly even a tech-based one like an app or online store — could turn into a profitable venture if you use Saturn’s elbow grease and planning powers to set the wheels in motion.

Aquarius
The muse is calling, Aquarius, so listen up! A posse of planets converges in your fifth house of creativity, fame, and romance this June. You bubble over with inspiration — and when you’re lit up like that, who can resist you? (No one.) Drink in the attention that comes your way. But, while you may feel ready for your big reveal as June begins, wait until Mercury ends its retrograde on the 11th to step out like a Hadid sister on a Fashion Week runway. Mercury’s backspin — which began on May 18 — could find you grappling with love issues, too. An ex could show up, disrupting the steady groove you were in with someone else. Or, you could lock horns with your partner over an issue you thought you had resolved. Try to keep drama to a minimum here. The #addictedtolove issue is best averted by avoiding the first text, Snapchat, hangout, etc. with someone who reliably turns you into an obsessed she-wolf. On the 16th, the new moon in Gemini brings a romantic refresh. You could bury the hatchet with your boo; or, if single, you could meet someone who has serious soulmate potential. Venus will help matters as she cruises through your commitment zone from the 5th on. Relationships must come with well-defined parameters now — otherwise, there could be trouble in paradise. The new moon on the 16th is also a killer date for debuting your creative work or a new style. (Purple, side-swept pixie, perhaps?) Just make sure this look is somewhat office-appropriate, since stern Saturn slips back into your career house from June 14 to September 17, demanding that you stay on your A Game. A career path that has been steadily emerging since October 2012 could become crystal-clear now. If there are steps left to take, like signing up for a certification program or enrolling in school, get on the ball.

Pisces
The sun and energizer Mars roll together through your feminine fourth house until the 21st, making your relationships with women lively and engaging. Yes, there could be some drama, too — especially if a strong personality is running unchecked in your entourage. Grit your teeth; then, have a heart-to-heart when Mercury is out of retrograde mode on the 11th. Light the tiki torches and fire up the grill! Chateau Pisces is where all the action’s at this June — you’ll love playing hostess. Slip off for some weekend trips, too. Career triumphs come with the full moon on the 2nd, the result of six months of hard work. If a leadership position is offered, don’t shy away. You’ve got this, Pisces, even if there is still a learning curve before you. The workout bug bites on the 5th when beautifying Venus decamps to your healthy-living zone. Taking stellar care of your body will restore your lit-from-within glow. That means adequate sleep and food that fuels you — like these energizing a.m. smoothies. Keep those earbuds cranked to a respectable volume while you’re doing your bicep curls, because Cupid may come a-calling in the free weights room or while you’re jogging the trails. On the 21st, the sun heads into your fifth house of fame and romance for a month. You’ll want to be ready for your close-up in every way.

Aries
Who is the Ilana to your Abbi — that fun-loving friend who can bust you out of a rut while unflinchingly watching your back? With planets piling up in your house of amigas, June is sure to deliver a BFF or a whole fleet of kindred spirits. One could even return from the past while Mercury is retrograde until the 11th. And, a fresh candidate will emerge with the new moon on the 16th. While you like to keep a tight-knit inner circle, there’s no reason you can’t have a thousand acquaintances. Socialize often this June. As you become a regular face on the scene, interesting people will start approaching you. Venus, the planet of love, parks in your romance house from June 5 on, and you won’t be shy about initiating. Dress up often and take more dares when it comes to expressing your feelings. Coupled Aries could even wind up ring-shopping or baby-making while Venus is in this lovestruck position until July 18. Girl crushes abound when the sun heads into Cancer for a month on June 21. Seek like-minded women who share your ambitious groove. Collaborating could lead to a profitable and successful sister act before the summer is through. This is also a nesting period, so get Chateau Aries up to code (possibly even for some rental income) or look for a lease in a neighborhood that is more your scene.

Taurus
On the 2nd, the full moon could bring a lump sum of cash. Think: commissions, royalties, or the sale of a major haul on Bib+Tuck. An inheritance check could even arrive — or a slacker could pony up the funds from an IOU. With an energizing combo of the sun and Mars, you’re equally keen to hustle. LinkedIn is golden while Mercury is retrograde until the 11th, helping you reconnect to well-heeled contacts from your past. A job offer or plum client could land in your lap near the new moon on the 16th. If you’re happy at your current gig, focus on climbing to the next rung of the ladder. You could make it there by the end of the month if you roll up your sleeves now. Romantically, you’ll find yourself in a more serious head space — especially since cautious Saturn moves back into your partnership house from June 14 to September 17. Feeling a nagging sense of uncertainty about your amour? Give yourself more time to think through your options. Bringing back the full-tilt love might simply be a matter of a few couples’ therapy sessions. But, if your life paths are diverging like Robert Frost's, the tough (but right) decision may be to let it go. Single? Upgrades are in order, as Saturn wants only the best for you. You might just fall for someone a little bit older or wiser. Wondering where? The local scene delivers after the 21st.
